We bring the best South Slavic wines to New York City.

Nema Problema is a love story.

Farming is hard, unpredictable, and rarely lucrative. Great grapes cannot begin to become great wine without careful growers who steward their harvests through months and years of uncertainty. But our partners choose to make wine anyway—sometimes to continue family traditions, sometimes to resuscitate near-extinct grapes, sometimes to honor their land, and always for the love of their craft.

We love ex-Yugoslavia.

We focus exclusively on South Slavic wines because the former Yugoslavia is a region with thousands of personal, expressive wines, unencumbered by top-down dictates of what any given grape or village “should” be. Some of our growers create Pinot Noirs you’d swear were from Burgundy, and some are inventing wines from newly-recovered grapes that survived phylloxera and communism. Others are remixing well-known grapes into unique expressions. There’s room for all kinds in our book and at our table.

We love our wines.

We only import wine we love, from people we like. We care for their wine as if we made it ourselves, buying directly from growers and shipping straight to our warehouse in refrigerated trucks and containers to maximize the chance that our wines taste just as great in your glass as they did in their creators’ cellars.

We are a family business that exists to support other family businesses, and are committed to being great partners to our growers, retailers, and drinkers. We welcome your feedback on how we can serve you better.
